Hi Richard.

I need the results to display after taking the quiz
I’m not sure if I understand. You already have marking enabled, so users can already see their results once a quiz has been completed.

The Save Results Pro addon is meant to save those results to the backend of your site so that you can track user scores and attempts, automatically email the results, etc.

I noticed that you have not enabled a form in the addon yet. Because of this, there is no way for the site to know and save who the quiz taker is. Please enable a form so that results and the scoreboard can correctly save. Here is the documentation link for the forms. (it is of course, OK to not have a form if the only quiz takers will be logged-in users)

That’s because you have the “I ❤️ HD Quiz” setting enabled. This feature is NOT enabled by default, so you must have enabled this yourself at some point. It can be disabled by going to HD Quiz -> About / Options.

Limit Attempts Addon
I also noticed that you are using the free limit attempts addon, but it doesn’t look like you have it configured. Please make sure to set up that addon so that there are no conflicts.

NOTE: I like the way that you used the featured image as part of the questions 🙂

Does this mean you created a form with HDForms? If so, you need to tell HD Quiz to use this form.

Under the HDForms heading, make sure you have your form selected in the dropdown menu. Also make sure you add the name ID and email ID fields so that the addon can save the “user”.

In HDForms, whenever you select a field, the sidebar will show the settings for that field. In our case, what we want is the text inside of that grey box. That is the field ID that you can copy/paste into the Save Results Pro addon settings.

I hope this gets you on the right track. If not let me know and we can perhaps do a screenshare call so I can walk you through setting it up for your site.

Just a last piece of advice.

Now that you have the form attached and working, you will want to disable Paginate on the very first question “Which figure completes the series?”. This is because it will automatically happen once the form has been filled out. So disable Paginate from that question to ensure the most compatibility 🙂

If results are being saved but do not include the user name and email, it’s because you never set those fields within the addon.

In my previous response, I explained how to get the field ID from HDForms, and also included a screenshot example.

However, since you now have a form attached to the quiz, I can provide these IDs for you.

Under the results settings, HDForms name ID, enter hdf_text_brc66e. And under HDForms email ID, enter hdf_email_fzhrlc.

On the results page of the addon, does that information appear under the user column? What about if you hover (mouse-over) a result and select “view full record”? Does the form data appear then?

I’m just trying to find out if the problem you are experiencing is with the email that is sent, or with the way results are saved on your site.
