Variable field for user email

My quiz takers are not receiving results email, what is the variable field I can use for their email?

Hi Marcus,
it looks like you are using HDForms, so in the SRP Settings, under “HDForms email ID” you need to enter the ID of the field that represents the email field in your form. In your case, the ID is hdf_email_3kbqfv.

Also, under email settings, make sure you have “Send results to the quiz taker” enabled.

If your users are still not getting emails, then there is little I can do other than offer advice, as the reasons would be out of my control and related to something on your end such as DNS settings.

Common things to look into:

Spam. Are emails simply ending up in spam folders? If so, perhaps add a warning to quiz results to remind users to check their spam folders. Spam emails are also an indication of other issues related to your site such as poor DNS.

Another common issue is that you are trying to send emails from a domain that is not the same as the one sending the emails.

For example, if your site is domaina.com but in “Sent From Email” you enter “hello@domainb.com” then the email is far more likely to be rejected since domaina does not have permission to send emails from domainb.

You can also consider using third-party email providers such as MailGun to improve email deliverability on your server.
