Critical error on HD Quiz Pro Results page and Public page
Hello. We are using your HD quiz Pro plugin and getting a critical error on both the admin ‘results’ page and at the bottom of the page including the HD quiz shortcode. I have tried rolling back the version of wordpress (if there is a specific version I should roll back to, please let me know), changing the theme, disabling other plugins, and reinstalling the HD quiz pro plugin – but the critical error persists. The error in the server log is as follows . . .
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function hdq_sanitize_fields() in /home/pyramidrec/public_html/wp-content/plugins/hdq-save-results-pro/includes/functions.php:408

Hi Matt,
firstly, thanks for your debugging steps! It’s amazing how many issues can be solved by doing that, so I appreciate the attempt.
Unfortunately, the only way for you to be seeing that error is if you are using both HD Quiz v2.x+ AND are using a version of the Save Results Pro addon that is several years out of date.
A quick fix to get you up and running is to downgrade HD Quiz. You can do this by going to this page, and scrolling down to the Advanced Options section.
From here, you’ll want to select version 1.8.15 and download, as that is the latest version that should work with your version of the Pro addon.
If you want to be able to upgrade to the latest version so that you can keep using HD Quiz 2.x, please contact me using the form on harmonicdesign.ca and I can provide you with the info you’d need to safely upgrade.
Thanks so much for you help. I also had to downgrade the version of php to 7.4 – but I think that’s done the trick. I will use your contact form as you suggested to get latest version of the add-on
