can you please provide any information? Where are you seeing this error? What steps are you taking to trigger it? Is this a new error for you, and if so, when did it start? What version of the HD Quiz are you using?
Can you enable debugging? This will show the actual error message instead of just the generic one.

Did you upgrade from a really old (more than 2 years) version of the addon?
Yes, 2023 July version.
Ah that explains it. The short answer is that the old branch you had saved result data in a different way than the new branch. This means that the new version is unable to view and open your old results.
I’ll send you an email directly with the latest version of the old branch. What you’ll need to do is:
- Install the old version.
- Export all of your results to CSV so that you have a saved record of them.
- Delete all of your results
- Install the new version so that everything is nice and clean moving forward.

Hi Dylan,
Just in relation to HD Quiz. We have followed the instructions that HD Support sent on to us, but it still does not seem to be working on our side. We cannot add the emails in, and the layout of the quiz is not appearing the way it did previously.
We have run several quizzes before with email capture and never had an issue, but there seems to be a major problem this time. Also, when we copy and paste the quiz shortcode into posts, it appears to override the entire post. We cannot see the text we have written, and the podcast embed is not displaying either. The quiz seems to take over the page completely.
If possible, would it be ok for HD Support to access the back end of the site to check this directly? We can provide login details if required. If that is not possible, we would be looking for a refund and will likely explore a different quiz option instead.
It is a pity because we have used HD Quiz successfully four or five times in the past to harvest emails, but it just does not seem to be functioning correctly for us anymore.

Hi Sean, good news; you’re up and running again!
The issue was that you missed the last step – install the latest version again. You still had the old branch installed, which was causing the issue.
Please make sure to visit the results page to configure everything the way you need, but you should be good to go!
