Thanks so much for developing this awesome tool. I have just installed it and am trying to create my first quiz. I create the quiz with no issues, but when I try and add questions, every time I get a “there was an error retrieving your quiz” error message. Can you please help? Thank you.

Hi Mark,
there are only two possible reasons for this.
a) there is a permissions issue with your account (perhaps there is a plugin installed on your site that deals with user account permissions that is not properly set up).
b) there is a critical error on your site that is causing a server crash. This would be unrelated to HD Quiz and would likely be caused by either your host (your server could have an invalid/corrupt PHP installation), or more likely, another plugin you have installed is causing a critical error.
I recommend doing the basic WordPress debug steps. It goes something like this
- deactivate all plugins except HD Quiz. Check if the issue persists.
- if the issue is fixed, then re-enable each plugin one by one until we find the one breaking your site.
You can also temporarily switch themes to rule out your theme being the cause as well. If the previous steps do not fix the issue, then the next place to look at is your host. If you are using cPanel, I recommend changing your PHP version to whatever the latest available is. If you are already using the latest, then downgrade then upgrade back. This will force the PHP version to “flush” and hopfuly fix it if it was a corrupt installation.
