HD Quiz

Hi bowen,
first, thanks for already taking those steps, as those are all fantastic things to check.

This is a weird one, because I’m 99.99% sure I know what the problem is, but I already had it fixed. The fact that this is happening to you for french only strengthens my suspicion.

The problem is, that for the FR version of your site only, the quiz is unable to fully get the quiz settings. In particular, this is causing the timer to think that it is set to 0, so it’s instantly completing the quiz.

So why is this happening in FR only? Because I am a bad Canadian. I had an error in the French translation file that added an extra space to the start of one of the words, which broke the quiz settings in French only.

I fixed the translation file in HD Quiz 2.0.1

The problem is that the way for you to fix this is to do the things you’ve already done. Reinstall the latest version (deactivate, delete, re-install) to ensure you have the latest version and files, and then clear your site cache for good measure.

I do plan to release another minor update today. I’ll take another look at the FR translations to see if it’s possible I missed anything (but the changes did fix it for two other FR users). Maybe this is a weird WordPress bug where if the plugin version doesn’t change, it doesn’t load new translations.
