random question pool
In order to benefit from the “Use Pool of Questions” feature, should the questions in other tests be marked as “show this question in this test too”? Or does it randomly draw from the question pool? Now let’s say I created a test with 2 questions. When I want it to pull all 18 questions from the pool and click Publish the test, it shows only 2 questions. I want 18 questions from all quizzes to be randomly selected and added to the test. Is this possible?
From that feature’s description:
If you want each quiz to randomly grab a number of questions from the quiz, then enter that amount here. So,for example, you might have 100 questions attached to this quiz, but entering 20 here will make the quiz randomly grab 20 of the questions on each load.
If you want to choose 18 questions from ALL of your quizzes, the best way to do this is to create a “Master quiz” that contains all of your questions. This can be easily done by:
- create a new quiz
- Select “BULK MODIFY QUESTIONS”
- bonus: select Screen Options (on the very top right of the page) and change “Number of items per page” to something higher, such as 100
- Select all questions, then change the “Bulk actions” select menu to edit and then Apply.
- Select the new master quiz, and “update” to save.
- Do this for all questions.
Which page exactly is the screenshot you shared in the attachment? I do not have a page where I can view all such questions.
You need to select the red BULK MODIFY QUESTIONS button to see that page.
We will be using that page to add questions to a new quiz, in bulk 🙂
I am going through a very busy and tiring work process these days. Sorry. Also, thank you very much for your patient response.
Haha no worries!
