Quiz Settings Showing as Blank

Trying to create a quiz I get the error “Please edit your quiz settings to create your different outcomes before creating questions.”

I saw another submission with the same problem but didn’t see a resolution.

Hi Zach,
Have you disabled WordPress’ default editor (tinymce)? For example, if you edit your user/profile, the very first setting is “Disable the visual editor when writing”. Is this enabled for you? Or perhaps you installed a plugin that does this?

Is this only happening for Personality quizzes, or does this also happen for General/Scored quizzes?

It would also be very useful to know if there are any errors in your browser console. This can be accessed on most browser by pressing F12.

This seems to only be happening on Personalityu and in version 2.0.6 not 2.0.5
I’m seeing a console error:

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘addEventListener’)

This is in quiz.js at line 158

Thanks for the quick answer.

Unfortunately, that error message in the browser console is expected in your use case where the settings themselves are not appearing. However, since that confirms a suspicion I had, it helped point me in the correct direction.

I think I know the problem and can push out a fix later today if you are able to confirm the following:

If you create a new quiz, but make sure to not use a ' apostrophe/single quote in the quiz title, does it now work?

Removing the single apostrophe ‘ did fix the issue!

Well, that’s embarrassing on my end!

I’ve just pushed out a quick fix HD Quiz v2.0.7 that should fix this. Thank you for brining this to my attention and providing the requested information!
