Orphan questions
Improvement suggestion:
In Question -> quizzes:
It is possible to unselect all of the available quizzes, whereby that question gets orphan – looses its relation to available quizzes.
I suggest that a check gets implemented, to require the question to keep a relation to at least one quiz. Or, you could make something like a “find orphan questions” search list.
Hi Makroppoulos,
take a look at the “Bulk Modify Questions” page, found on the top right of the main HD Quiz page.
This page lists out all questions using the same view as WordPress posts, and contains columns for Title, Quizzes, and Date.
You can find “unattached” questions by looking at the Quizzes column. or searching for the question.
The reason there is no check to “force” a relation is because HD Quiz does not use post_status states, so there is no way to “save question as draft” (well there technically is, but HD Quiz would ignore it), so being able to deselect all quizzes is a way for users to keep the question for later without it appearing on any quizzes.
BONUS: A lot of people don’t know this, so here is a tip for you or anyone else reading this.
On the Bulk Modify page (and any page like it such as Posts, Pages, etc) on the very top right there is a “tab” for “Screen Options”. Selecting this allows you to change how many items display in the table at once. Useful if you have lots of questions that you want to quickly look at to do bulk edits, or find an unattached question!
