Features not working
The quiz at the above URL is the second I have created, with the first one on a different site. The first one works perfectly with no issues. This quiz is set up with the exact same settings as the first one but is not working correctly. It is not showing “Next” beneath each question even though paginate is enabled. It is also not displaying when an individual question is answered correctly or incorrectly, even though “immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect” is selected. I can’t figure out why this quiz isn’t working just like the other one, which is working properly. Thank you.

I hope this explanation will inform you on why this is happening, and what you can do to get working the way you want.
There is no next button because of the combination of features you are using. This combination makes it necessary to immediately show the next available question so that the timer does not continue to erroneously tick down.
In particular, you have:
- Paginate enabled on every question
- are using the timer-per-question feature
- have Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect enabled
When the timer is for each question, when a question has been completed (ie: an answer was given), we need to “disable” the current question and “enable” the next one. This cannot be done if the “next” is hidden, so we automatically move / paginate to the next.
Your other quiz either does not have paginate enabled on questions, or you are not using a timer-per-question.
To get the behaviour you are looking for, you’ll be better off setting your timer for the whole quiz instead of per-question (or do not use the paginate feature). This way we don’t need to enable/disable individual questions and we can have a manual Next button, allowing your users time to see their marking.
