Can you confirm if questions can be imported from an MS Excel worksheet

You can use MS Excel to save your file in CSV format. As long as your CSV is properly formatted it will work. There is an example CSV on the Export Tool page of HD Quiz that you can use as a reference.
I also recommend making your first CSV only contains a few questions so that you can check to make sure your upload works and your file is properly formatted before uploading the rest.
