Moving My HD Quiz To A Different Host
Hi, I’m about to move my hosting to a different – non WP provider, but I would like to keep my HD Quizzes and maybe use then on a stand-alone platform.
- How can I migrate the HD Quizzes I already have without losing the questions / answers / links & comments already created?
- Can you suggest a platform I can use to park HD quizzes and easily make them work from that platform?

Hi Alex,
first, just to make sure there is no confusion – you cannot just move a WordPress system into a different system. IE: If you are leaving WordPress for something else, you cannot use HD Quiz or any other WordPress plugin.
If you are continuing to use the WordPress CMS, but are simply moving hosts, then the good news is that backing up your questions/quizzes is very easy using WordPress’ default import/export tool.
You go log into your site, go to Tools ⇾ Export, then make sure that Questions is selected. From here WordPress will generate an XML file that you can use to import your quizzes on a whole new site. Just make sure you have HD Quiz installed on the new site first for best results
