Is there a way to back up all my quiz questions, featured images, and settings? I have created a huge list of questions but need to fix a problem with my site by reinstalling WordPress. I have Duplicator Pro but this clones the entire site including the issue. I am looking for a way to back up the quiz progress I have made thus far and then be able to restore and continue where I left off.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mark,
HD Quiz is compatible with WordPress’ native export tool (tools -> export). Just make sure to select Questions and the tool will create an .xml file that you can then import on the new site.

Just note two limitations.

First, this will not export the HD Quiz global options (found under HD Quiz -> About / Options).

Second, this will not export the images directly – just references to them. This means that when importing, the images will need to already exist in your wp-content/uploads folder – and even then images might not import depending on your site/server configuration. You may want to check out dedicated import/export plugins to use as a backup in case the WordPress import tool is unable to connect the images.

If you are enjoying HD Quiz please leave a review here on the official WordPress.org page. HD Quiz is developed by me, just some dude, and is supported and available for free. It may seem dumb, but truly nothing makes me happier than knowing that people are using and loving HD Quiz and my hard work.
