Is it possible to copy the quiz for re-use and change some things? Or do I have to make a whole new one?

you can reuse questions, but you have to set quiz settings (such as marking settings, pass/fail text, etc) each time.
The fastest method to attach existing questions to a new quiz is to use the “BULK MODIFY QUESTIONS” feature (found on the main HD Quiz page – the page that lists your quizzes).
On this page you will see a list of all of your questions. You can “check” each question that you want to add to a new quiz, then use the “bulk actions” dropdown (found in the head of the table) and change it to edit then press Apply. This will show a new section where you can select which quizzes these questions should belong to. See screenshot here:
