I can’t save the questions for the quiz. I wrote the question, selected the right answer, didn’t choose title or paginate or anything else but the save button won’t work. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Cheryl, As far as I can tell, you’re doing nothing wrong.

So far, only one other person has had this issue. For him, it was caused by having the site global setting to disable the visual editor across all pages enabled (or the similar one in your user profile).

Can you confirm if you also have that setting enabled? If not, can you tell me what your console log says after you attempt to save? The console can usually be opened by pressing f12

Nothing happens when I click save on the question. Here’s the error log notation: pixel.wp.com/boom.gif?v=0.9…{%22beacons%22:[%22pinghub.restproxy.ws_supported.unknown:1|c%22]}:1 GET https://pixel.wp.com/boom.g…{%22beacons%22:[%22pinghub.restproxy.ws_supported.unknown:1|c%22]} net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

I just tried it on another website and it worked perfectly. So something in my main website is blocking it, obviously. I can contact WordPress support and show them that log entry and get them to help me if you want. That’s what I pay them for =). I REALLY appreciate you answering so fast and being so helpful.

Just want to thank you for such great service and a wonderful plugin. Having a blast setting up my first quiz.

Hi Cheryl, unfortunately, those messages are unrelated to HD Quiz.

When adding or editing a question, you should see a message in the console that says “HD Quiz initiated”. Any error after this message (if there are any) would be relevant. Is what you posted above the only message that appears when you attempt to save a question?

Also, what about the “disable visual editor” option? This setting can be found on your user profile page (top right of the WordPress admin page, you can find links to your profile page). The first option is called “Disable the visual editor when writing” and it needs to be unchecked for HD Quiz to work (a workaround is being developed so this will not be an issue in the future).

Other than that, the only thing I can think of would be if you were using some other third party page builder that override default (and important!) WordPress functionality that HD Quiz relies on.

If you are enjoying HD Quiz please leave a review here on the official WordPress.org page. HD Quiz is developed by me, just some dude, and is supported and available for free. It may seem dumb, but truly nothing makes me happier than knowing that people are using and loving HD Quiz and my hard work.
