Hi, I cannot remember which version of the HD Quiz I was upgrading from, but it’s been a few years since I started experimenting with the plugin. I’m ready to use it now (v1.8.3), but I am running into an issue that I am unable to resolve:
I am using a WP page with the Elementor editor and its shortcode element where I insert the link to the quiz. On the active page, after clicking the button “Start Quiz” I first see the button NEXT and underneath the following message:
Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /home/(…)/plugins/hd-quiz/includes/functions.php on line 700
From here on, this message is visible under every quiz question – one per page – where the NEXT button appears.
Could you please advise me on how I can remove this notice?

Thank you

Hi Alexandra,
since you upgraded from such an old version, the issue is probably just an outdated setting.

I recommend editing each quiz and simply pressing “save”. This will flush out your old settings and overwrite them with new ones properly formatted. I also recommend doing the same at the HD Quiz -> About / Options page to flush that out as well.

If you are enjoying HD Quiz please leave a review here on the official WordPress.org page. HD Quiz is developed by me, just some dude, and is supported and available for free. It may seem dumb, but truly nothing makes me happier than knowing that people are using and loving HD Quiz and my hard work.
