Hi Dylan,

I have configured a quiz to immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect and left all the other settings in red (off I assume). Users are complaining that they do not see if an answer was correct or not and that they are unable to change their answers prior to completing the test. I made damn sure that the “Stop users from changing their answers” setting was off. I am using ver 1.8.

Any ideas what should I do next?

Thanks!
JC

Hi Juan,
by definition, the “Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect” requires “Stop users from changing their answers” in order to even work. If users were able to change their answers after the question has already been submitted it would break everything. This is why when you enable “Immediately mark answer as correct or incorrect” the “Stop users from changing their answers” is also automatically enabled.

So in short, you cannot immediately ark questions AND allow users to change their answers.

Thanks Dylan!

As it turned out, it had to do with the Timer function. I had configured it to be 2 minutes per question so it made sense that once an answer is selected, the timer will reset and thus “locking in” the answer. It would’ve been helpful for me to be more logical, wouldn’t you say? 🙂

Thanks again! And great work.

If you are enjoying HD Quiz please leave a review here on the official WordPress.org page. HD Quiz is developed by me, just some dude, and is supported and available for free. It may seem dumb, but truly nothing makes me happier than knowing that people are using and loving HD Quiz and my hard work.
