Changing the permalink structure for pagination

Instead of this permalink structure:

https://example.com/quiz-name/page/2?currentScore=0&totalQuestions=1

How easy is it to make it run in pagination via single page (example):

https://example.com/quiz-name/?page2&currentScore=0&totalQuestions=1

This would potentially open up the option to it running statically via a HTML file.

Hi again James,
first thing to note is that I did not choose that structure. That is a default WordPress structure for all paginated pages, regardless if HD Quiz or not.

But I really don’t understand why you are using WP Pagination. The entire point of that feature is to create literal new pages. If you don’t want to have separate pages, then why use the feature who’s entire purpose is this?

As I mentioned in the previous support thread, you should use the recommended Paginate feature, which is enabled on a per question basis. This is how the demo quiz on this site works. It is pagination, without creating literal new pages, and is what you are looking for, unless I’m misunderstanding something about what you are trying to achieve.

This part of the documentation in particular is what you need. When editing a question, open the “Extra” tab and enable Paginate.
