Hi, I would like to add questions to the “HD Quiz” shortcode.

I tried in the WP post editor:

[hdquiz]
[question]What is the capital of France?[/question]
[answer]Paris[/answer]
[answer]London[/answer]
[answer]Berlin[/answer]
[question]What is 2 + 2?[/question]
[answer]4[/answer]
[answer]3[/answer]
[/hdquiz]

But it’s not working.

Thanks for your help

Hi FilmyOne,
I’m not sure why you think that doing this would work. Perhaps you are using the instructions from a different quiz plugin?

Full documentation for HD Quiz can be found here:

HD Quiz Documentation

And the main HD Quiz WordPress page also contains a full tutorial video that will go over how to create questions and answers, and add them to your pages.

I don’t see in your documentation how I can add questions and answers directly into the WP editor when creating a new post.

Is there a shortcode available for this?

That’s because you can’t. You have to do all of that within HD Quiz, not the page editor.

From your example, it looks like you are trying to use XML-like formatting, but as a shortcode.

The only recommendation I can provide is that maybe the CSV importer would be closer to what you need. You can see an example CSV file under HD Quiz ⇾ Tools ⇾ Question CSV Uploader.

If you don’t want to use the visual system I built into HD Quiz to create/manage questions, then you can instead create your quizzes as a CSV, then import it.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any quiz plugin that allows for adding all questions and answers from within the shortcode like you are asking, so I have no recommendations on an alternative plugin that might work better for you.

I wanted to add these quiz questions / answers Programmatically with ChatGPT API.

ChatGPT will automatically trigger your plugin through the shortcode inserted in the post.

ChatGPT is very powerful, it could create an unlimited numbers of posts with HD quizzes in any possible topics you can imagine…

No need to do this manually through excel like you suggested, like in the 80s…)

Would it be possible to integrate this type of shortcode in your plugin to integrate AI and make it stand from other plugin?

Thanks

If you are enjoying HD Quiz please leave a review here on the official WordPress.org page. HD Quiz is developed by me, just some dude, and is supported and available for free. It may seem dumb, but truly nothing makes me happier than knowing that people are using and loving HD Quiz and my hard work.
